The award supports software delivery to I Corps as the Army moves from division-level prototyping to scaling across the force.

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mente Systems, Inc. DBA TheIncLab has been selected by the U.S. Army to deliver commercial software supporting Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2). The award supports the delivery of foundational NGC2 software capabilities to I Corps.

TheIncLab. Intelligent platforms, built with operators. The Mission Starts Here™

The announcement follows a Sept. 29 award to TheIncLab of a $99 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for commercial technology, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2031. This is part of the Army’s efforts to quickly acquire technology to meet changing mission requirements.

According to the Army, the NGC2 application ecosystem will provide integrated information and mission execution tools across the six warfighting functions of C2, Fires, Intelligence, Movement/Maneuver, Sustainment, and Protection.

As the Army scales NGC2 across the force, I Corps will be the next unit to receive the software capability. TheIncLab’s approach supports the Army’s modular, open architecture and its emphasis on commercial technology, interoperability, and continuous improvement shaped by Soldier feedback, delivering capability at the pace of relevance.

With more crewed aircraft, drones, and autonomous systems operating together, commanders need a clear view of how these assets interact. Disconnected tools and manual data entry can slow coordination and increase risk. TheIncLab’s software connects mission planning directly to the real-time data Soldiers rely on, helping them adapt as situations evolve.

“Our teams have spent years working side by side with Army operators to understand what really matters on a mission,” said Joe Degliuomini, VP of Programs and Development at TheIncLab. “Every time Soldiers have to move data by hand, it slows them down and can introduce mistakes. We’re focused on intelligent decision tools while keeping everyone connected, from the planners to the pilots to the commanders. This award lets us keep building technology that solves real problems in the field, not just in theory.”

About TheIncLab

TheIncLab’s Maneuvering Portfolio combines tools for mission planning, autonomy integration, and synchronizing operations across airspace and time. Eris gives aviation planners instant access to aircraft performance, routes, and operational data, so mission plans update the shared picture and transfer directly to aircraft. LEAP offers a unified space for planning and rehearsing launched-effects missions, connecting outside platforms and autonomy models without vendor lock-in. Kronos manages timing and deconfliction, while Iris handles shared data. Together, these tools close the gap between planning and real-world execution.

TheIncLab’s aviation planning and launched-effects capabilities have supported Army experimentation at Ivy Mass and Project Convergence Capstone 6 (PC-C6), where Soldiers used applications to enable decision-making under tough, realistic conditions across an entire Division formation. Its work there demonstrated workflows connecting aviation mission plans to the Army’s shared data environment, airspace coordination tools, and aircraft mission data transfer.

TheIncLab works closely with operators to build software that helps warfighters make smarter decisions and reduce risk. Our team combines rapid prototyping, engineering, and user input to turn tough challenges into practical solutions. Learn more at theinclab.com.
